Multi-lingual and friendly staff; old-world charm and decor but clean and well-maintained; excellent breakfast and dining food in restaurant. Good sun-terrace
I found the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. They spoke excellent English. The breakfast buffet was outstanding both in terms of quality and choice. Location was perfect with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Rooms were modern and light and airy. The roof top terrace was great for pre dinner drinks.
The Palace Hotel made the holiday special.
Lovely hotel, excellent comfort. Delicious meals with buffets exceeding expectations. Beautiful & inviting roof top with fabulous views & perfect for lounging or dining. Claudia is delightful, warm & friendly. Accommodating staff. Perfect location to beach, shopping & restaurants. Within 10 minutes walking to train station or 10 euro by taxi. Our stay was perfect, thank you!
We enjoyed our stay at the Palace Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of things to choose. The hotel had a great terrace on the four floor with fabulous views.
Our only dislike of the Palace Hotel was its very old and needs a lot of work to bring it up to standard of a four star hotel , but to be fair we had a standard room which is what we had booked.
The location is perfect for both sea and city. If you want the sea its on your doorstep, and if you want the cities they are just a train journey away. The staff are extremely friendly and very efficient, expecially Francesca on reception. There are numerous restaurants close by to suit all pockets and the shopping is excellent. The food in the hotel, however, is excellent. Both at breakfast and in the restaurant. All in all we had a great holiday and we would definitely recommend this hotel, and will most certainly return.
The only thing we would have like to see is a coffee machine in the room.
Staff,view, ease, claudia, deck..all great
The view from the room of the waves crashing the shore were wonderful...and the buffet breakfast was varied and very much above the usual. Will stay again!!
Great location. Very polite and helpful staff. Attractive old fashioned decor. Terrace overlooking sea & promenade an added bonus.
Very limited dinner Menu. Unexciting food. Restaurant seating arrangement uncomfortable. Breakfast could be better.
Great location. Bel epoque hotel, ie. old fashioned but good location right opposite beach, market, shops & restaurants. Clean & friendly staff.
Great building with excellent atmosphere, first-rate and supportive staff and a roof terrace that made every evening memorable
Room cleaning and service were fine but erratic
We only stayed for one night but were impressed by the Superb Location. Staff were friendly and very helpfull.
Very friendly & helpful staff; not a 'big chain' hotel mentality (eg, hotel had individuality); nice complimentary touches (eg, use of a computer - necessary as there was a series of transport worker strikes in Italy on our penultimate day, hot & cold buffet snacks on the rooftop terrace bar, coffee & cakes in the lobby - but only on one day, unfortunately); good central location on the seafront and only 15 minutes [walk] from the train station; convenient for a wide range of eateries; excellent views along the promenade from the rooftop terrace.
I offer the following two observation: I wousld have preferred a little more variety in the hot choices available at breakfast (although what was available was typical of Italian hotels), and it was a pity the hotel didn't provide the complimentary coffee & cakes every day (both were delicious).
That it was a "period design" facility...gave you a feeling of luxery from a different time period with all of the modern conveniences. Great location too! Close to the beach, shopping, tourism of Pisa, the park with the bicycle rentals...nice:)
Didn't find any really good Italian restaurants offerring anything other than pizza and basic pasta dishes. Everyone's menu was the same. You ate at one place, it was about the same as any other. Would've been nice if there were some listings of area restaurants offerring something other than "fast food" dishes if there are such places.
Location and and staff, lovely roof terrace.
Needs total redecoration even the suite.
good clean friendly hotel and good location.lovely bathroom soft towels and large comfortable bed.the beach was wonderful, clean, good bathing, blue flag.
good food and service but limited menu choice+ using beach was very expensive paid for 1 weeks use 110 euros for 2 deckchairs and parasol
